February 2 has been known for centuries as Groundhog Day, the day when humans look to a chubby, meteorologically gifted rodent to tell us if there will be 6 more weeks of winter or an early spring. Growing out from the German Christian tradition of Candlemas, Groundhog Day has become part of the American collective consciousness. Eric takes on Groundhog Day with his painting of Woodstock, IL where the famous movie by the same name was filmed. In his painting he not only pays homage to the classic film but also to the charm and character if this great little town. Turn back the clock and spend some time in Woodstock, IL for Groundhog Day. I got one of the Groundhog Day puzzle (filmed in my hometown (Woodstock,IL.) and couldn't wait to start! Landmarks I see frequently seen with a new perspective. I've never framed a puzzle before , but l'll have to with this one .
