The puzzle itself is decent. The printing isn't quite up to par. For instance, the purple areas of the sky show the individual lines of red and blue instead of actually use purple inks.
The worst part of this puzzle isn't the puzzle itself. It's the "Reference Foldout." There are a ton of spelling mistakes, really poor descriptions, and just plain factual inaccuracies. For example, did the "Japanes" really surrender on the "Battle Ship Missouri" or is the best description for a Hospital Ship "It is a war crime to attack?" A fifth grader with Wikipedia access could do a better job.
Absolutely love Dowdle art and puzzles. We have done several including this one and find the whole thing so entertaining with little "easter egg" type details you notice while completing the puzzle. Always charming artwork. My daughter is joining the Navy and now has this one hanging in her room - and we're making the Coast Guard one for her Sea Cadet Division room.
