I realized in putting this puzzle together I had greatly over estimated my skills when I bought it. Everyone in my family quit it early on, leaving me to soldier on alone. Sometimes I would sit 20 minutes without getting a single piece! I realized early on it couldn't be done by color as much as by shape. In fact, I put virtually the whole thing together while it was upside down to me! What made it also very difficult was sometimes pieces would fit, only to be discovered later that they were wrong. It is a beautiful puzzle, though, and quite satisfying to finish. It sat for a few days before I had the heart to take it apart. Maybe one day, like giving birth, I will forget what a pain it was and do it again. LOL!
Since I couldn't go skiing this Christmas, I decided to purchase this puzzle and relive fond memories. Then we had an ice storm here in Virginia. It was challenging enough to keep me engaged. I loved every moment of putting it together. I have already started planning my next ski trip to Utah. After all. Utah has the best snow in the world!
