Newport Beach has become everything its founders could have envisioned when they officially established the city in 1906. An affluent community located on the coast in Orange County, Newport Beach is the home of the Dory Fish Co-op (founded in 1891), the iconic Balboa Bay Pavilion, and numerous yacht clubs. The Balboa Peninsula forms Newport Bay, containing Lido and Balboa Islands. Because of its geography there are beaches on the protected bay side and on the open ocean side. The residence of numerous celebrities, the city became a star in the hit series “Arrested Development.” Wonderful year round, Newport Beach has been celebrating its Christmas Boat Parade for over 105 years.
