Discovering figure drawing as an artist was and continues to be the center of what I consider “folk art.” I define folk art as people interacting with the environment around them. Disney took figure drawing to an amazingly different level. The brilliance of exploring the possibilities of animals with human features and characteristics interacting and communicating with their surroundings is enchanting to me.
Mickey & Friends Painting in Paris is where I imagine this exploration coming alive. With the inspiration of some of the world’s greatest galleries, I love the idea of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck playing the part of both artist and model. Paris inspires even the simplest of artists to try their hand at a sketch or two… or maybe even some figure drawing.

My 3 favorite things: Disney, Paris and Puzzles! :) Exquisite box, great as a gift but I cant wait to rip this open and start on working the puzzle.
I sure enjoy a good puzzle, and this is just that. The image is great, as is the packaging and pieces. I usually do 1000 piece puzzles, though I'm looking forward to this one as it should be quicker to complete and use less space on the dining room table. My family enjoys Disney themed puzzles, as I suspect most do. The box is a nice compact size and of high quality. I was pleasantly surprised the box size, and provided a picture next to a standard deck of playing cards for scale. This should make it east to store when not being worked.

We really enjoyed completing this 500 piece Disney puzzle. The Paris scene with Mickey and all his friends is filled with Croissants, flowers, and a city of buildings which center around the Eiffel tower. The pieces were small, and semi challenging, with the color schemes of the puzzle repeating in various areas. The pieces are intentionally cut at various angles. They are the type that don’t always line up evenly, so that adds an additional challenge to the puzzle. Once you get going, it’s easy to identify different parts of the puzzle to focus on, making the building of the puzzle fun and strategic. We worked on it intermittently over the course of a day before finishing. The puzzle comes with a poster in the image of the puzzle. It comes in a sturdy box with a lid that stays closed with Velcro. This is a great puzzle for the whole family.
We are definitely a puzzle family and got together with my nieces over a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed this puzzle. The quality is outstanding. The picture is beautiful. It was really fun putting it together.
