This where my late wife was raised, so it brought back many memories. Love it!!
We have had Gingerbread House since the boxes were very much larger then they are now. One of the first of the Dowdle Folkart puzzles we got. Can't recall if we bought it of if someone else bought it for us. It's been that long that we have had it. All the puzzles (and we have a lot!) are fantastic. The color, the piece size (not too small) and the topics of the puzzles are great! We highly recommend these puzzles for couples, families or singles... best thing to keep us out of mischief in the winter time! Since Christmas we are working on our 3rd or 4th one.
Our daughter made us a puzzle holder.... it's around 40 x 38 inches, made of wood, with a lip edge on it; so if we have to move it from the table we can put it under a couch or bed and its stays in place.

This was our first Dowdle puzzle. We now have over 30 of them. This one though, this one is the best. We love all the different character gingerbread people. They make us laugh every time we put it together. This puzzle reminds us/and others that puzzles don't have to be either an "old folks" game or just for young kids. We received this puzzle while in our 30's and now mid 40's we're hooked. Our college age kids have now taken them back to school even. Keep making these fun puzzles, keep hiding those "Easter eggs" in them, those are what make a great puzzle!
I've had this puzzle for years and just put it together.
It is the only Dowdle puzzle I've ever had.
I didn't realize that many famous characters are depicted in the puzzle.
It's really great figuring out who they all are.
I'm a 100% pleased with the puzzle and the challenge of figuring out
who all the characters represent.
Puzzle was very well made. Pieces are completely cut and in good shape - no rips or crumbled pieces. The pieces are a bit loose against one another so if you need to move it, you'll want to assemble it on butcher paper or felt. I do wish the box was in two pieces for easier use in sorting.
