Cobh - Canvas Gallery Wrap

Regular price Sale price $125.00
Story Feen! (slang in Cobh for, "Hello, what is happening this fine day?") Welcome to Cobh (pronounced Cove). Known as Queenstown from 1849–1920, Cobh is situated on the southern coast of Country Cork, Ireland. County Cork is known as "The Rebel County." It is the largest and southernmost county in Ireland with a history as lush and varied as the county itself. Cobh is on Great Island in Cork Harbor, known as the Harbor of Tears because it was the departure point for millions of Irish immigrants, the last port of call for the Titanic, and the city that sprung to aid of the passengers of the tragic Lusitania. First settled in 1000 B.C., Celts, Vikings, Normans, and Englishmen have all had a part in the story of the city, and stories are the soul of the Irish people. Perhaps it goes back to the Blarney stone. A natural storyteller, Eric definitely has the gift of the Blarney. The people charmed him during his short visit to the city. Ireland is a land of traditions and tenacity. Grab your mot or your fella and crack on with this craic puzzle.

BE PART OF THE ART

All Dowdle Fine Art prints are eligible for “Be Part Of The Art”

Eric has painted hundreds of people into the art already. In fact, when you look at any of the stadium art, many of the people in those stadiums are real! They’ve commissioned themselves to be placed with their favorite teams. It’s so fun! The only thing better than owning Eric’s art is personalizing yourself into Eric’s art and custom puzzles. Trust me. I know. Check out these videos that spotlight some stories about people who’ve become part of the art.
