One night a year on Christmas Eve
One mystical feat is somehow performed,
One message of hope to all who believe.
One person, nine reindeer,
through clear or storm
Go around the world from pole and pole.
St. Nicolaus ashes from home to home
In a bright red sleigh, that is toy full,
Bringing tokens of goodwill and of hope.
Oh, what wondrous, myriad sights he sees
As he traipses across the beautiful globe
And here are shown only a few of these
From the multitude of which surely he knows.
Across all the world's skies in a single night,
He never falters in his missions call
To bring young and old Christmas delight,
Wishing a Merry Christmas to one and all.
