We have put together MANY Dowdle puzzles and this one the pieces were so similar that we couldn't get it to come together. Very frustrating!
Rocky Mountain is an all time favorite, but ‘Best of the World’ is much more difficult. The details of that puzzle are so tiny, I had to buy a magnifying lamp to finish it. It took close to a month to complete and I’m retired.
It took us almost two weeks to put this beautiful puzzle together. BUT...so many pieces fit in the same place! You really have to have sharp eyesight and look carefully to get the right pieces together. The border was the hardest and, in fact, we had to take the top border off and completely redo it as we got the puzzle together. The Maui 500 was a breeze compared to this one. Good thing we were up for a challenge!
Super hard…the hardest puzzle I have put together to date...I love it!!!
I realized in putting this puzzle together I had greatly over estimated my skills when I bought it. Everyone in my family quit it early on, leaving me to soldier on alone. Sometimes I would sit 20 minutes without getting a single piece! I realized early on it couldn't be done by color as much as by shape. In fact, I put virtually the whole thing together while it was upside down to me! What made it also very difficult was sometimes pieces would fit, only to be discovered later that they were wrong. It is a beautiful puzzle, though, and quite satisfying to finish. It sat for a few days before I had the heart to take it apart. Maybe one day, like giving birth, I will forget what a pain it was and do it again. LOL!
