Dowdle has grown so much in me. At first, I did not really care for the dark tone of them. But the more I work on this brand, the more I like them :). What I like most is the packaging. Love the box and the enclosed poster with the # and the map on the back to tell what is what, love the quality of the pieces. The thing I don't like is the puzzle dust. I have to strain the dust away with a colander before building. But then still need to vacuum during my progress.
I finally got around to doing this puzzle (1000 pieces), and I was wowed from the minute I opened it. First, the puzzle came in a sturdy closable cardboard box, sleeved with the gorgeous Wild Jungle cover. Inside, it had the puzzle in a sturdy plastic bag, another plastic bag for storing the pieces, and a folded-up poster. The poster showed the Wild Jungle picture, along with a legend and a link to this website, so a person can look up facts about the featured animals.
The great quality continued with the puzzle itself. It had tricky pieces with interesting shapes; this was a real challenge to put together. It was also a lot of fun. I like the storage it came with, but I may just hang the finished puzzle instead of putting it back in the box. The art is fantastic. Would recommend to anyone that likes a beautiful puzzle that is also a challenge.
Our entire family enjoyed working this puzzle. There is so much detail, and so many fun animals, that everyone could work a section and have fun doing it.
My husband and I have spent many hours putting this one together at our cabin. Puzzles are one thing we love to do and this one was no exception. There are a lot of items that are all over the place like frogs but the frogs look like the plants so you aren't quite sure which pieces go where. Tricky but fun. I love seeing Eric's puzzles completed as the colors are so vibrant.
Great puzzle for the kids! They love the animals and always put them together before putting the whole thing together. Thanks for setting up the puzzle of the month program. The kids can't wait for the next one! (When I say, "kids," I mean grandkids.)
