Even before it was an official city the Huntington Beach Company constructed a pier that extended Main Street out into the Pacific Ocean. Though it has gone through many incarnations the pier is still there as a Huntington Beach landmark (that’s HB to the locals). In 1925 Duke Kahanamoku introduced a sport called surfing to HB and since then its steady rise in popularity has led to the city being called “Surf City U.S.A.” and the home of the U.S. Open of Surfing—drawing millions annually. The juxtaposition of sophistication and beach culture make this a natural location for Eric’s eclectic style. Hey Bro, let’s shoot the pier at the HB.

grew up in orange county. many days surfing in huntington beach, you depicted it well
Please forgive my previous 1-review of this puzzle. In my frustration trying to complete the top part of border I failed to try a different approach to completing the puzzle. After working on other puzzles I decided to try and build the puzzle from the bottom up. When I got to the top border lo and behold the top border came together very easily. The completed puzzle looks amazing just like the others I’ve completed.
Born & raised in HB & was looking forward to building this puzzle. Unfortunately the first boxes pieces were falling apart and couldn’t even put the border together. Submitted an email about the quality and was happy they sent new pieces. Tried to assemble with the new pieces and was surprised the border was a problem again. This time the last piece of the border overlapped with the adjacent pieces and couldn’t be assembled. Just wondering if it’s an issue with the 500 piece puzzles since I’ve only assembled the 300 versions which are flawless.
My family is enjoying the puzzle, our second one, while on lock down for the covid 19 virus.
It goes well with brownies.
