The sea has always been a powerful, relentless and breathtaking image, and is the ideal characteristics for the United States Navy. Established on October 13, 1775 the U.S. Navy has protected this country’s ideals and others by living honorably, acting courageously, and committing faithfully. These core values inspire the U.S. Navy to never back down in battle, whether they are on the water or soaring through the air. We salute the U.S. Navy in always pressing forward like the unyielding sea.
After the first airplane took flight on December 17, 1903, the world realized that the sky was never the limit. Airplanes began to conquer the skies and support the country economically, and as a safeguard, especially during WWII. On September 18, 1947, the youngest military service known as the United States Air Force was created. Protecting the skies, space, and cyberspace is the U.S. Air Force’s job, but their motto “Aim High” ignites a spark to always go beyond their limit, to achieve the dreams of mankind. We salute the U.S. Air Force in serving our country above and beyond what we ever thought was possible in times of war and peace.
“Semper Paratus” isn’t just a fancy saying for the United States Coast Guard, it’s their core. Whether in the middle of war or during peacetime, they stand up to protect this land by upholding the law, stopping illegal smuggling, and providing humanitarian relief. What makes “The Guard” unique is that they are the only armed service in the Department of Homeland Security with both civilian and military responsibilities. We respectfully thank all of the U.S. Coast Guard military personnel for serving non-stop and always being ready.
Inspired to protect this nations belief for freedom, men gathered together on June 14, 1775, and created the United States Army. Eric has captured their fighting spirit during some of America’s most historical events like George Washington crossing the Delaware River during the Revolutionary War, Lee vs. Grant in the Civil War, and D-day during WWII. We proudly salute the U.S. Army’s courage and determination to always advance and never hold back in times of need.
The United States Marine Corps are fighters who make freedom possible, protectors to their fellow soldiers and civilians, and inspiring those around them. Their motto “The Few, The Proud” shows their pride in being one of the lucky ones to graduate from training and support their fellow country. It doesn’t matter where the battle is happening, you can always count on the U.S. Marine to be there. Eric’s painting underlines some inspiring moments of a U.S. Marines journey in their training, preparation, and developing their fighting spirit. We salute the U.S. Marines for their faithfulness in fighting to win the battle every time.
Unmatched in speed, strength, and efficiency, the United States National Guard lives by their motto “Always ready, Always prepared.” Unique in protecting the nation and local communities, the Guard also is allowed to hold jobs, attend college, and train simultaneously. Thank you U.S. National Guard for serving when times are desperate and for the hope you bring.
