This was a very fun puzzle that we could do in a day. I like that. However, as the husband of a quilter I cannot imagine the Amish women letting kids eat watermelon on their quilts.
LOVED this puzzle and was ready to share with a friend who makes quilts. However, TWO pieces were missing. We searched everywhere - including the trash - my husband literally unloaded our trash can (kitchen, so icky) by hand to make sure nothing went there by mistake. We're serious about puzzles so know to look everywhere else as well. Since it only took us a couple of hours to do, we could not even blame the cats. However, this puzzle was a gift for the holidays and so alas, no proof of purchase. We're stuck with one of the quilts being unfinished. I suppose that is how I would leave a quilt if I quilted, so it makes this puzzle very personal and realistic!! Love Dowdle in the 500 and 1000 pc pictures. Great color and selection. Just wish I had all 500 pieces and not just 498!!! PRETTY picture when done!
This was really a fun one to do. You can put each quilt and then fill in the spaces around each. I love the colors. Very soothing! 🧩
I love quilts and owning an Amish quilt is definitely on my bucket list. I first bought this puzzle years ago and put it together twice. I finally decided to put it together again and frame it, and those silly cats took off with a piece! But I love this picture, so I’m buying a replacement and I’m gonna try again. 😁
Love Eric’s work! Thank you and keep it up!
This was a fun puzzle especially if you enjoy Eric's skill at working with period scenes but ... some of the colors here are more muted than his usually making for some interesting mix-ups and the pieces were a little hard to put together at first. When put together, though, it was still beautiful and was a wonderful adventure for the family as every just picked a quilt and then we tried to link up. Btw, the purple flowers .. they're a killer. Hang on to your patience, it's lovely once done!
