Happy Father's Day – All Joking Aside

Let's celebrate dads! Dads come in all shapes and sizes. They enter our lives through birth, adoption, marriage, or by making a difference in our lives. It’s clearer than ever that a loving, engaged father in a child's life increases their self-esteem. Children with actively engaged father figures are less likely to engage in high-risk behavior and are more likely to have better outcomes in nearly every aspect of life. These children believe in their ability to succeed and are more likely to enjoy lasting relationships and healthy lifestyles.

On this special day we want to pay tribute to one of the most underappreciated contributions of dads everywhere: the Dad Joke. While we have all experienced the wincing caused by Dad Jokes, but they can still be hard to define. How do you know when a joke is a Dad Joke? The answer: When it becomes apparent.
